How did they control the sound for the most anticipated concert of the 2006 season?

In the years I have been going to the Bowl, I've never seen so much equipment or so many people getting ready for a show at the Bowl. There is no question that those holding tickets for the 3 Dark Side of the Moon shows that Roger Waters did at the Hollywood Bowl couldn't wait for the show to begin. But what was different, is that the people inside the Bowl seemed to have caught some of the fever that is surrounding this show.

The aura of anticipation and excitement in the Bowl was running high as equipment crews and sound engineers prepared for the most anticipated concert of the 2006 season. Roger Waters was performing Dark Side of the Moon at the Hollywood Bowl, on October 5th, 7th and 8th 2006.

Truckloads full of equipment, a giant crane, the famous Pink Floyd Prism, a flying pig, shooting flames, state of the art pyrotechnics and the Tablet PC all played their parts in this history making event.

En un Comunicado de Prensa reciente, que anuncia la reubicación del espectáculo de Waters en Israel, Roger agregó un poema que él escribió inspirado en el film "The Last Waltz", de Martin Scorsese. Es una pieza maravillosa, y da para interpretarlo de la forma en que muchos quisiéramos, creo que incluso Roger y David también lo anhelan.

ESTO ES LO QUE DICE ROGELIO:

Hace unas semanas miré otra vez la película de Martin Scorsese "The Last Waltz", y me sentí inspirado para componer este nuevo poema:

The Last Waltz

I just want that thing
When voices join in harmony
And in that fleeting moment,
Meaning coalesces on the ear,
All dark, dissolving, clouds the alleyways no more
And fresh bread scent of home pervades the air

No sandal soles
In dust of broken homes
Nor callused toes peep bloody from the garment hem,
And all the big parades
And shock and awe
And swagger on the carrier decks and medals
Jangle helpless in the face of what is fair

I just want that thing
When friends draw in, some living some begone,
Some brittle, none forgotten
All beloved everyone.

Then dash the glass into the fire
Then well up unashamed my heart
Beyond the reach of fear
Of faith, blind, bigoted and drear

And then across the great divide
Rise men and women unafraid
To dash in loss their bracelets at the wall,
And hearing them
Hope holds me in its thrall.

When empathy prevails

When dogma, cant, and witchcraft
